Camp and WIP

I promised you pictures, so here they are. But before I get to that, and to keep Paula at bay, I wrote almost 5,000 words yesterday and I’m hoping for another 5k today. πŸ˜›

So, without further ado, I bring you CAMP:

The Road In:

The Cove:

The View:

The Dog:

The “Beach”:

The Boy Splashing on a Rainy Day:

A Forrest Gump Moment:

We just didn’t seem to want to slow down last week. After camp, I had to work while the boys stayed home and played. Then, we hit the road Sunday for a 2 hour drive to my dad’s to celebrate his 60th birthday! It was great to see so much family all together, and the boy loved playing with his cousins – he kept telling us what they did together on the ride home like we hadn’t been there with him. And it was cute to watch him and my dad drawing on the driveway with sidewalk chalk together. πŸ™‚

For today: I will write, go to my doctor’s appointment, and then write some more!

For tomorrow: The boy and I will (finally) select the t-shirt winner! πŸ˜€

Have a great day everyone!

  1. Those pictures remind me of getaways with my own kids.

    • The camp and the land has been in my husband’s family for generations, since the early logging days when they’d run logs from one end of the lake to the other. It means a lot to us both to see our son have fun up there.

    • It definitely is! Wish we had more time to get up there (and that the boy would actually nap for the ride…)
